Bill
I’m tied to the office today, awaiting the arrival of a package critical to a project in the works, as well as negotiating a contract with an ad agency. Plus, the weather is awful. So, I’m happy to mess around in the studio. Lacking a model, I talked my pottery lookalike into sitting for me. Bill’s his name. Lonely Bill.
Bill’s had various hairstyles over the years (which is where he puts me to shame). This year he’s sporting a fine head of baby’s tears, which grows so profusely we have to trim his bangs regularly. Bill was a present from my sister some years back. We searched for a friend at local gardening shops all last summer, to no avail. We did, at last, find a potential companion for him online. We must arrange his transportation soon. His name will be Ben.
“Why Bill, why Ben? You might ask, if you didn’t grow up in England in the ’50s as my wife and I did. If you did, or if you have had the good fortune to watch the old children’s TV show, you’ll understand the reference … and perhaps gain a deeper insight into my appreciation for surrealism, gardening, and clinical psychology. 🙂
We-eeeed! Flobble-dop!
