30-Day Photo Challenge, Day 2: Something completely different

A change in the weather inspired a bicycle ride out on the Lochside Trail on the Saanich Peninsula, a big change from the rain and urban location visited yesterday. I took my old friend, a 1994 Rocky Mountain Blizzard, which took me on one of the greatest adventures of my life, to Alaska and back — a two month trip sponsored in part by Kodak.

This trip was a little less ambitious, but a nice outing nonetheless. As I’ve mentioned in the past, many of my Eighties Vancouver shoots were bike-supported. Then, I was hauling heavy aluminum tripod and medium format camera. Thank goodness for the mirrorless Fulifilm X-Pro2 camera, relatively lightweight lenses, and carbon fibre tripod!

Anyway, I’ll let the video be your tour guide from here on. Photo of the day is below.

If there’s one thing I learned from the outing, it’s that I need to get earlier starts if I’m going to fit in photo and video editing; after all, the days are getting noticeably shorter.  See you again tomorrow.
