Remember when Sunday was a day of rest? I’m old enough to recall when religious observance trumped commerce on the last day of the week. Now, I’m not pious but sometimes I think a 24-hour break from consuming might do us all a bit of good.

As it is, today I bought a new external hard drive and we did the usual grocery shopping at the supermarket. No, I didn’t grab a Big Mac or Grillburger™ (perish the thought) but while my wife was doing some banking I grabbed this shot of “fast food corner.”

I’ve worked up an appetite while editing the photo (it’s nearly 6 pm), so you’ll excuse me if I let the picture tell the story.
