Hibiscus in the House
This hibiscus has been with us for a couple of decades or more. It came as a cutting from an even bigger specimen owned by my sister. I swear these lovely blooming behemoths cause us to move houses that they might attain the size they richly deserve.
This one has just gotten over its move indoors for the winter; has stopped shedding small buds and leaves, and is blooming like mad. As November progresses — There was a real bite in the wind today, as I made video test clips to improve my colour grading skills — the hibiscus brings a bit of tropical warmth to the living room. If only it would pay the heating bill.
